Hal Craddock Awarded Margaret Burnette Award for Service to Downtown Lynchburg

Hal Craddock was presented with the Margaret Burnette Award last week at the Annual Meeting of Lynch's Landing, Lynchburg's nonprofit for downtown revitalization. The award was presented by last year's award recipient, Lynchburg City Manager Kim Payne.

The Margaret Burnette Award reflects civic pride and a solid foundation for the future of downtown and recognizes an individual for his/her long-term commitment to Lynchburg's downtown revitalization effort and by contributing to this initiative in a leadership role with significant results.

SoBo is 'aBuzz'!

The Town of South Boston, Virginia is considering a Creative Boutique Hotel as a central element of not only its downtown, but its economic revival and its rejuvenation, as well. A total of 52 citizens joined the visioning session to discuss the future of the area.  The two hour session included assessments of the positive elements, outlining where the opportunities are and how discussion can continue to facilitate change.  A link to the News and Advance article can be found here. Keep on the look out for developments of all sorts in the area!

Creative Boutique Hotels, LLC (CBH) announced today that they have been approved by the acclaimed real estate crowd-vesting site Fundrise.

"After a fairly arduos vetting process, we are excited that the Fundrise team found our historic boutique hotel adaptive reuse projects worthy to secure the designation of Approved Developer," stated Hal Craddock, Craddock Cunningham Architectural Partners and partner with CBH.

CBH currently has several historic boutique hotel projects at various stages of development.  These projects can be found on www.Fundrize.com. Investment opportunites in CBH projects vary depending on the property size and location.

Current boutique hotel projects include the expansion of their existing Craddock Terry Hotel, Lynchburg, Virginia; the revitalization and expansion of The John Randolph Hotel: South Boston, Virginia; the adaptive reuse of One Mill Place, Farmville, Virginia; and the feasibility, design and construction of a ground up boutique hotel--The Rutherfoord Hotel, Crozet, Virginia. Other projects under various
